It needs a special firmware on your ANT+ (Polar) from this firmware on it should work. https://support.polar.com/de/what-is-ant-in-polar-products

By default, the watch takes the pulse at the wrist, but you can pair an ANT + sensor.  However, I don't know if yours is one.
