Hello, I have been using this for about 4 years now. It experienced a few crashes, but otherwise it is great. The only thing that is annoying about this thing is that the casing has become sticky; the plastic is so gross that you can't even touch it anymore. It is so sticky that it is sitting under my TV and is even sticking to the glass shelf of the sideboard, and dust sticks to it, so you can't even dust it off. Is there a solution for how to clean the plastic, or is there a cleaning kit? Thanks.

What you are describing is the degradation of the soft-touch coating, the velvety rubberized finish on the plastic. After a few years, it decomposes due to humidity and becomes sticky. What often helps: soak a cloth in high-percentage isopropyl alcohol and rub off the sticky area in small sections.
Thanks, I bought the chemical from Galaxus and have been cleaning for 30 minutes already. It's no longer sticky, but the surface looks like something has struck it; the display has discolored from black to a sort of white and is now completely blotchy. Cleaning is a stopgap measure, but the device looks terrible now. I'd rather avoid all devices with such a soft coating. At least the thing is clean now and the dust that was stuck is gone, but I'd rather dispose of it; it looks terrible on the sideboard.
