Hello, I bought one of these SSDs to make my PC faster. This has also worked wonderfully, but had not fixed that in the games (currently ghost recon breakpoint for example) just starts to jerk and makes playing sometimes an impossible thing. Can anyone help me with this and tell me what I could do? Or what this could be? It also stutters with a weak graphics setting and good internet.... Thank you in advance!

Hi Newlife92. It reads as if you don't yet know exactly what the individual components in your PC do and how they work together. That's not a bad thing, but I recommend that you take a few minutes now and then to read up on the subject matter. Start with simple explanatory videos and hardware articles and don't be put off if you don't understand everything straight away. You know: Constant dripping wears the stone.

The storage medium (in this case your new SSD) essentially only has an influence on the loading times. Once you are in the match, the graphics card, the processor (CPU) and the main memory (RAM) are the main components working. If just one of these components is too weak, overheats or doesn't work properly, it becomes a bottleneck. Of course, it also plays a role how well the data flows back and forth between them (mainboard, connections and cables), whether the right drivers are installed and whether these also produce no errors.

In order for us potential helpers to have a chance to localise your problem or at least narrow down the possibilities, we should know the following: What components does your PC consist of? What kind of jerks do you experience (duration and frequency)? Do they also occur in other games and also in single player mode? Do they occur immediately or only after a certain playing time?

Hi Newlife92. Turiargov has already given excellent tips for your free time. The SSD is certainly not a bad buy. Just post the processor, RAM and graphics card and you will be (better) helped.

Hi
It's definitely not because of the SSD. I assume that Ghost Recon Breakpoint is extremely memory-hungry in terms of graphics memory. Take a look at PC Games Hardware, issue 5/2019, page 10, topic graphics memory. E.G.: https://www.pcgameshardware.de/Tom-Clancy...
But since the game is still new, there is hope that it will be patched and thus the performance will be optimised a bit more.
