Hello everyone. I already have the Elemnt Roam. The speed is displayed there. I assume this is measured via GPS. Will the speed be more accurate with the sensors or what do I need them for?

Helpful answer

It is simply an alternative way of measuring and helps when the GPS signal is poor. In addition, the measurement via the front wheel is somewhat more reactive when registering changes in speed (my impression). I have an Elemnt Bolt and use both signals. Advantage: calibration of the speed sensor is not necessary, it seems to be calibrated via the Bolt.

The measurement is much more accurate than GPS, as the revolutions and distance are taken as the basis for the measurement. This sensor is also used for the autopause functionality (in combination with a Wahoo ELEMNT Roam or Bolt).

Note regarding calibration: You can configure the wheel circumference in the Wahoo or ELEMNT app. There are various stored profiles here, but you can also enter the wheel circumference in mm yourself.
