Question about LaCie d2 Quadra

Hello everyone. Is it possible to transfer a video from a camcorder (MiniDV) to the hard disk via the FireWire connection? Software on the PC is available, but no FireWire connection on the PC. Connection between camcorder and Lacie is via HDV/DV -> FireWire ports. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Helpful answer

The FireWire connection is actually intended to connect the hard disk to a PC. So I think it is very unlikely that this will work. Could the camcorder work with a mass storage device at all, or does it need a PC?
