Hello everyone, I would like to buy one and attach it to the library in eastern Switzerland. Can I then also read magazines (e.g. Swiss magazines) or newspapers that are offered there? read? Has anyone already tried this? Many greetings
Hello, good idea! I'm a science librarian at the BCU Lausanne, and we use PressReader to access the Swiss and international press. Using the e-reader's built-in browser should work, even if it's slow. Which interface do you usually use to read newspapers? Yours sincerely, Céline
I have just tried this with the PocketBook and the integrated Onleihe app. It's a bit cumbersome, but it works. Cumbersome because you can only borrow magazines/newspapers via the smartphone app. No magazines are suggested in the PocketBook app. However, the magazine can then be found under "My media". The indication "Title not available in eReader" is confusing, but it works after all (simply click on the "read" symbol, as with borrowed eBooks). Tested with Beobachter, Schweizer Ilustrierte and Die Welt.
With Libby you have to read the magazine in the browser, there is no other way.
Greetings
