I used the adapter for a Macbook Air and it works fine there. Here they do the same thing that you want: https://www.youtube.com/watch

But use this adapter: CoreParts NGFF M.2 to PCIe Adapter

The pins are the same on both adapters but with the length of the SSD, the second one seems to fit better.
