It says min. 0.35 A, max. 0.7A charging current, so a maximum of twice as much is possible.
I have a USB charger, 5V/0.5A, that should work, right?

I use an old power supply unit from the iphone, which I got for free back then, and the battery charges without any problems

Yes, that should work... I use a normal mobile phone charger, it works wonderfully
