Hello, can I simply play the iPhone pictures on the TV?

If you operate the TV set on a LAN, which I assume is the case, you can activate the source "screen mirroring". On the mobile phone, you select SmarView (Android) - something similar will probably also be available for the iPhone - and then you mirror your mobile phone display on the TV set.

The Philips device does not have Airplay and therefore cannot display this directly.
I see the following alternatives:
a) Costs a little, but is simple
You can get an Apple HDMI cable adapter for the iPhone (such as Art. N° 375205 on this site) and then display the iPhone screen directly on the TV (see also https://support.apple.com/de-ch...). If you don't have one, you will need an HDMI to HDMI cable, which is available in various lengths (measure the length beforehand). The adapter cannot be connected to a TV without this intermediate cable.
And: the adapter and the intermediate cable can be connected to almost any other HDMI-capable TV or projector.

b) Cheap, but more time-consuming and has to be repeated every time.
You can copy the desired recordings from the iPhone to a USB stick (FAT format) using a Mac or PC with the Tunes software and then you can connect the stick to the Philips device and display the pictures via the source selection of the Philips device,

c) More expensive but can be
It would also be possible to use an external device called 'Apple TV', because it can do Airplay and so the display would work directly from the iPhone (see also https://support.apple.com/de-ch...). Since the Philips device is not capable of 4K, the simple Apple TV would suffice (Art. N° 6919340 on this site).
