Hello and good day We are having the living room freshly painted and therefore I have to dismantle the TV from the wall. To make sure nothing can happen, I wanted to put the TV on soft blankets on the floor under the bed. I would like to know from the Digitec Product Manager if it is possible to store the TV for about 2-3 days? I don't know if this is an old wives' tale, but I think I've heard that you shouldn't transport such TVs lying down and that you shouldn't store them lying down either? Please reply as soon as possible. Many thanks and kind regards Arnold

Hello
Which wall mount are you using?

I wouldn't call that an old wives' tale, there is a reason for that: the position is primarily about damage during transport. If the TV rests on the screen, components in the display can be damaged by vibrations from below or above, depending on the case. In your case, however, if you are only storing the TV in a stationary position, I don't see any problem. It's not so heavy that it would be damaged by its own weight. And you won't accidentally bump into it under the bed. The blankets are certainly not a bad idea, but I wouldn't pad them too thickly so that the screen lies flat, since the unit is rather thin :D
Just be careful when folding it forward/lying it down so that no damage occurs there either. If possible, I would hold a large cardboard plate against it so that the display always rests nicely, and then place the TV forward on the floor.
