Question about ASUS Rog Crosshair Viii Dark Hero
Hello all I've been using the Mobo with a 5900x for 3 weeks now and can't for the life of me get stable operation. I have constant reboots without any error message or other problems. The reboots only happen in idle mode, e.g. yt video or normal browsing. It does not happen under load. Does anyone else have this problem. In the meantime I deactivated C-state and PBO, which makes it a little better, but the reboots still happen. Here are my specs: cpu: Amd 5900x mobo: Dark Hero gpu: ASUS GeForce CERBERUS GTX 1070TI A8G ram: G.Skill Trident Z Neo (2x, 16GB, DDR4-3600, DIMM 288) psu: Seasonic 850W gold case: fractal design meshify 2
Helpful answer
1) Is the AMP profile for the G.Skill Trident Z active in the bios?
2) Is the current bios installed?
3) Are all official and current drivers installed?
4) What does a reboot look like when you think there is no error message? Instant Black / Power Off ?

I would guess BIOS. Once default settings, do a bios update and test everything again on default.
