I bought this product and unfortunately I don't have an internal usb 2.0 port on the motherboard (B450E gaming from asus rog).

Is there a way to use it anyway with led or do I have to buy an internal usb hub. The one from NZXT is unfortunately available for an unknown period of time.

Then maybe try with a splitter. I have never tried this, but I think it should work.

Nonsense. I don't know of any board that doesn't have an internal usb port. 

Your board has 1x USB 2.0 internal. At the very bottom in the middle
