Have you also had negative experiences with warranty processing via Digitec? We had a hairline crack in the display of this MacbookAir after 14 months and it failed to function. We didn't drop it! At the genius bar in the Apple Store, it was diagnosed as a voltage crack without any fault on our part (we got this in writing), they would have replaced it immediately without any problems, but we had to go to Digitec where we bought it for the repair. Then followed a 3 week diagnostic phase where we had no computer, then the rejection of the warranty due to small hickeys in the case. Repair costs approx. 150.- more than the new price. We were offered free disposal and then the device was returned to us free of charge. Obviously, Digitec's guarantee for Apple devices is worse than Apple's direct guarantee. To be honest, I would never buy an Apple device from Digitec again after this experience, only directly from Apple, where you can take it to the store in case of problems.

I have no experience with the warranty of Apple devices, but I do have experience with my laptop and my e-scooter. These had to be repaired 3 times each, just awful, less worked after the repair than before. But Digitec can't help that... Digitec has always been very solution-oriented and has always helped me and issued a credit note for the amount of the purchase price. I am very satisfied with Digitec, the customer service works very much in the interest of the customer :)

Addendum: as we urgently need the PC and it is not available from Apple, we ordered it again from Digitec anyway, but also directly from Apple with an Apple Care Protection Plan. It's a bit expensive, but this way we avoid having to go through Digitec again in case of problems.

That's right. That's what I've always experienced at Digitec. Very friendly and accommodating. The problem here was that it was the responsibility of the Apple Certified Service Centre, and when they were unaccommodating, Digitec's hands were tied. But that doesn't change the fact that if I had bought the device from Apple, I would have had it replaced in the Apple Store without any problems and now I have to throw it away because I bought it from Digitec. So I have to clarify the statement: if you buy from Digitec, you have worse warranty coverage from Apple. At least in practice. But Digitec should have an interest in ensuring that I, as a customer, don't have such an experience.
