Has anyone found out yet whether Philips has become smarter than with the 804 and given the thing a 1Gbit LAN connection?
Maybe, but 1gbE port should still be standard. Not only in the PC. I recently got fibre optics, so I'm upgrading my hardware as best I can. But a standard user is probably less interested in what the port in the TV can do.
According to Netflix, approx. 25Mbit is required for 4K @ 60fps. Why should Philips install a 1Gbit connection on the TV when 100Mbit is perfectly sufficient?
