Has anyone done an air-cooled setup without additional airflow? Or asked the other way round: Is the installed ventilation sufficient to achieve an adequate airflow?
I agree with Chriz here. It also depends on the scope of the system. If you want to build a "high-end PC", the included ventilation is not enough. For a "low-profile PC" the ventilation is sufficient. In addition, it is not advisable to save on the ventilation, you can buy one or two additional fans in the range of approx. 10-30 Swiss francs and install them according to Chrz's link.
Normally, good air circulation should look like this: https://www.google.ch/url
It depends on what you want to install. Normally, at least 1x120mm fan should go in and 1x120mm fan should
blow out.
Only 1x out is a bit tight. I would install at least one more fan.
