Question about Varta Blue Dynamic D59
Grüezi I am looking for a battery for my closed absenk car transport trailer for the electric winch, with 12 volts, 900 watts at 75A, it has a towing capacity of 2722 kg , but my summer car only weighs 550 kg. Does this battery have enough power for that? I would charge the battery from time to time with a car charger.

The question is how long and how heavily loaded you will use the winch. At full load it would then draw 75A (900W / 12V = 75A) and it could theoretically run for 1 hour. But this is theory and only part of the truth (losses etc.). Lead batteries only give half of the charge and then have to be recharged, they also discharge themselves and should be recharged regularly. If the battery does not need to be charged in sub-zero temperatures, I would take a Lifepo4 battery with half the capacity. Do a Google search for lead acid battery vs Lifepo.
