Good day Did I understand correctly that the 3pin connector is a female connector? I already have a 3pin socket and would like to turn it into a 4pin plug. So this is not possible with this adapter?

No, the other way round. 3 pin is male, 4 pin is female on this adapter. So from 3 pin socket to 4 pin plug. Perhaps you can see it a little better in the following picture: http://www.angela.pl/galerie...
