Hello,
Thank you very much for your request.
If your laptop has an M.2 slot, you can use this SSD.
To use the full performance of the SSD, the M.2 slot should have PCIe 4.0 with 4 lanes.
If in doubt, please enquire directly with the device manufacturer.
Kind regards from Schwalbach,
Your Samsung Service Team

In principle, yes!

But since an SSD (512 GB / 1TB depending on the model) is already installed in the laptop from the factory, the question arises, do you want to expand this or install an additional SSD?

According to the MSI page, your notebook has an NVME PCI 3.0 slot, which is probably already occupied by an SSD at the factory. The 980 PRO is a PCI 4.0 SSD. It probably also runs on a PCI 3.0 slot - but not with the high read and write speed. This is only achieved if the mainboard has a PCI 4.0 slot. For your notebook, the Samsung 980 (Basic) would be the right one if you absolutely want a Samsung.
