Gigaset Elements Smart Home will cease its services on 29 March 2024 and go into insolvency. As the servers will no longer work after that and the app will be unusable, you can throw away all the elements you've bought. In my case, it's "only" three new cameras, various motion detectors, sensors, etc... - Or does anyone have a better idea than disposing of them?
We have just bought 2 new cameras... Let's see if there will be a possibility...
Unfortunately, all Gigaset Elements users are now left out in the cold. Based on an internet search, I have come to the conclusion that there is hardly anyone who can provide a replacement server. To my knowledge, Gigaset (Elements) has not published any data on its software and it doesn't look like it, judging by the way it has been withdrawn from the market. The information at the end of the Gigaset Elements products is extremely short and succinct: "Gigaset Elements service has been turned off" is displayed on the app screen (gigaset.statuspage.io) after logging in. You can also say goodbye like this ...
As I understand it, it no longer works without the cloud! that's why the stuff is electronic waste ☹️
