Question about Garmin nüviCam LMT

for the dashcam how big can the memory chip be for the recordings, will they be overwritten after a certain time, and does it have a button where i can save a recording myself?

The video recording normally always runs, with or without sound recording as desired. The oldest recordings are always overwritten. If you want to save a video (which is not to be recorded over again), you can do this either after the journey at your leisure on the PC or by pressing the shutter release button during the journey. Pressing the shutter button saves a photo on the one hand and a 3 minute video sequence on the other, which starts 1.5 minutes before the shutter is released and ends 1.5 minutes after the shutter is released. I use this product together with the Garmin rear view camera. Everything works fine, I can recommend the purchase.

2) In the manual (page 1, Getting Started is to read:

3) Video recordings / still images (photo) can also be saved manually at any time. This is done using the button at the top left of the device (with red ring) in conjunction with the implemented app "Autocamera". Viewing on the display of the unit or on the PC (USB connection and the Garmin Das Cam Player (download. https://www.garmin.com/dashplayer).
This application also transfers
transfer data from the device to the data carrier of the PC
