For my 2001 Golf, to mount the JVCKW-M565DBT radio, do I need this adapter?

I needed one for my Passat 2005.
For a Golf from 2001 (Golf IV) you should not need an adapter for this radio. These do not have steering wheel controls. The connectors of the JVC KW-M565DBT should fit directly onto the original connectors. If it still doesn't work, you can buy an adapter afterwards.
