Drying the water tanks
When the two water tanks of the base station (fresh water and dirty water) are emptied, do they have to be left to dry outside the base station before they are closed and replaced in the station, or are they dried automatically?

The tanks do not dry automatically. I empty the dirty water tank after every cleaning process, rinse it out and leave it to dry. Then I put it back in. The fresh water tank can simply be left filled without any problems. If you are going away for a longer period (e.g. on holiday), remove both tanks, rinse them and leave them open to dry. Only put them back in when you return.

Answer

Emptying the dirty water tank, cleaning it briefly and returning it to the station works perfectly. Simply remove the tanks when not in use for longer periods.
