Question about OWC Aura Pro X2
Does this product also work with the Macbook Air mid 2012? The chat with Digitec said yes, but now when I read that it is mid 2013-2017, I still ask here. Maybe someone has experience? thx

It only works with the specified Macbooks, which is why it is so clearly defined. There is no point in trying around because the interface standards have changed and things like sleep modes are also an issue.
No, an OWC Aura Pro X2 will NOT fit in a MacBook Air (Mid 2012). The hard drive interface in your MBA is a 6.0 Gbps Serial ATA (SATA) and the OWC memory in question is a 5.0 GT/s PCIe x2.
Or in simple:
The older MacBook Air has only a SATA port and the newer Apple devices have a (mostly proprietary) PCI Express port.
