Yes, the unit has a keyboard backlight that can be switched on and off and adjusted to two brightness levels (F9). The colour of the illumination is light blue. If you do not enter anything on the keyboard, the illumination switches off after a short time, possibly to save the battery. I don't know if you can choose other colours for the keyboard illumination - as is the case with gaming notebooks, for example - because I have never looked in the operating instructions. The keyboard illumination in the form in which the notebook is delivered and the two-stage brightness setting are perfect for me. I'm very satisfied with the device (I upgraded it to 32 GB RAM later), it's a great piece of equipment.
