Question about Swisscom WLAN repeater
Does this device create a new WLAN signal with a separate SSID so that devices have to switch back and forth, or does it simply amplify the existing signal and send it out again?
It only amplifies the existing signal! But this also means that it only works if there is a good signal (you always lose power with a repeater). The DECT signal is not transmitted! The new WLan box from Swisscom offers an additional access point that automatically uses the same SSID - this would be the better and, above all, more efficient solution for good Internet!
