Does this cooler have room in the ASUS H170 pro, and is this cooler sufficient for the i7 8700k processor?

the 8700k requires z370 mainboards. the cooler would be sufficient for an 8700k if it is not to be overclocked. probably also if you want to overclock but i can't promise you that. as thenikk wrote, the mainboard does not fit the 8700k.
The 8700k does not work on the H170 mainboards.
