Does the Watch also measure the metres of altitude walked/driven? According to the description, it only has a barometric altimeter (without differential measurement).

The altitude metres are measured. You also have an altitude profile after your activity.
I agree with the previous answers. After a trip, the altitude metres are visible on the watch, you don't even need to look at the activity in the Connect app.
The altitude metres are displayed and recorded in full detail. What the watch cannot do: Store music or maps. The memory is too small for that. If you need that, you should buy the Pro.
