Does the TomTom work properly in South Africa ?

The maps can be installed but the live services like traffic info will not be available. As the sim card can only be used in certain EU countries/CH.
Unless TomTom has finally made an upgrade so that you can fetch the internet data via your own mobile phone (Bluetooth / wifi hotspot).
