Question about Garmin Index S2 Smart Scale

Does the scale only work if I connect to a mobile phone and have the Garmin app on the phone? Does the scale connect via Bluetooth or WLAN? Does each user have to connect with their own app? Or is it possible that I suddenly have data from other users in my app? How can I switch from one user to another?

Helpful answer

The scale connects with WLAN. Users are recognised automatically. However, it cannot be ruled out that the data will also be visible to other users (e.g. unknown/unrecognised users).
The scale only saves and evaluates with the Garmin app, it also displays without the app.
