Does the image transmission also work with other MHL-capable devices (e.g. windows tablets with micro usb output)?

I use it with a Samsung tablet 10.5 and it works perfectly, but it does not work with the Galaxy S5 Mini smartphone because it is not MHL-capable. According to the manufacturer, the device must have a micro USB output and be MHL-capable, which is what the adapter responds to.
