Does the Fitbit Ionic work with the Sony Xperia XZ Premium? My Charge 2 is not supported and almost never syncs

Me and my wife also have the Sony Xperia XZ Premium and both have a Fitbit Charge 2 and no problems with syncing. However, with the wristband that keeps coming off and now my wife is going to switch to the Ionic.
