Does the device have to be online while mowing, or is WLAN reception at the charging station sufficient? Or does the device itself have to be online via a 4G module? This would probably be a chargeable service after a certain period of time. I wouldn't fancy that.

The robot lawnmower does not need constant internet access while mowing. It can carry out its routines autonomously as long as it has been previously programmed via the app. Wi-Fi reception at the charging station is sufficient to connect to the app and make settings. A 4G module is not required and there is no indication that a paid service would be required to use it.
