Question about Blaupunkt Portable charger
Does the device automatically recognise the amperage or do you have to set it manually? How do you know where to set the amperage?
The amperage and charging time can be set manually. The charging station does the rest automatically. With a normal electric car, you can charge with the maximum amperage. If you need to use less, this should actually be stated in the vehicle manual and you can set it on the charger. The next time you use the charger, it will continue to run with the settings you last made.
Amps can be set manually on the device, but also (most likely) on your vehicle. These settings can be used to limit the speed of charging and the amount of energy consumed at any one time.
