Does the device also work without a Swisscom subscription for the Internet? (Mobile phone subscription = Swisscom) In addition, my car is in the garage, but I have Wi-Fi there...can I really control the device from the flat? Or switch the power on and off (check the low tariff)?

Internet provider does not matter at all. Works for me with GGA Maur, via a Netgear / Devolo network without problems (several access points on 3 floors). Configuration is simple, as long as you follow the instructions exactly. App shows power consumption, you can even set on/off sequences -> lamp 1 on and lamp 2 off with one click in the app. Even compatible with Google Home via IFTTT applets (to set up yourself): can control the switches via spoken commands.

It also works for me with UPC (it seems to me that difficulties occur with WLANs that require more than just a password). In principle, you could switch from anywhere where you have internet access, provided the WLAN (at home)/at myStrom is running.
