No. The tension of the spring can be adjusted with a tool. This allows the monitor arm to be adjusted for the weight.

that should work. I have a monitor on the arm, a docking station and a USB hub on the Vesa mount. Roughly approx. 6kg. No more wobbling than with a monitor stand.
