Does the 5-year warranty extension also cover us in case of burn-in?
In 1 year the TV will be completely out of date and in 5 years it will be completely obsolete, knowing that lg will release 240hz OLDs in the next 12/24 months in 8K.
An extended warranty is absolutely useless for any product unless you give your money to the shop who will be happy with the pigeon that took it.
LG and Philips OLEDs have no defects or burn-in because they are series of panels made in Switzerland and Germany with a different serial number than other countries such as Germany. They are different from other countries like Italy, Spain, UK, Portugal and France who sell Polish and Russian versions for Eastern Europe which are not certified and full of blocked or dead pixels.
My advice for buying an LG/PHILIPPS OLED TV is to go to Interdiscount, take the 20.- breakage/transport guarantee and that's it. Interdiscount and the official LG/Philipps dealer.
On the other hand I advise against buying the LG OLED series with the SAMSUNG slab which contains blocked blue pixels if it has been shocked during transport.
For the OLED C1 and C2 take the normal 24/25/26 series but if you want the dts-x you need the 29 version.
Do not connect any player/pc/console to port 2 which is only for speakers and sound bars (creates interference with the viewers) and use a certified HDMI 2.1 or 2.2 cable worth 35 to 40.- of a good brand.
There is no burn-in on OLEDs, if you respect 3 things, if you are watching TV make sure that the hide TV channel logo mode is activated as well as the image shift every hour, if you are using it as a PC monitor make sure you use a screen saver after 5 minutes of non-use and leave the TV saver activated if not used.
The C2 without being unbridled is better than the C1 on white and red is more accurate, to be 100% DCI P3 a small adjustment is necessary (APS and cinema mode) do not use the other modes. Don't forget that LG OLEDs are not bt2020 compatible but only gamma 2.2
The 24 is an excellent PC/gaming monitor that I recommend, but if I had stink I would have taken the c29 which is better with another panel (Pro panel) the same as Philipps but the Philips only has 1hdmi 120hz and the LG 4x 120hz
This screen if you go and get it in shop and if you take care of it it's perfect.
Don't forget that an OLED only lasts 5000 hours in its 100% mode and then the quality will decrease, but 10000 hours will be the time to buy another one. OLED and projector have the same life span.
If there is a burn in anyway LG will not replace it even under warranty, so the warranty does not cover it! Because the burn in is due to the user's negligence and is not a defect or manufacturing fault.
