I was able to do some research and the cheaper and "normal" models do not have a SAS controller built in. There is also no adapter for it that I know of. Only much larger RackStation models that can process SAS. One idea would be to build a simple PC with a SAS controller, then you can also "build" a NAS yourself. Otherwise, I would be happy to pass the question on to someone with experience. Alternatively, you can ask such a question in our Community, where you can usually reach a wider audience.
