Question about Apple Watch Series 5

Does anyone know when Salt will offer an e-sim for the Apple Watch? For me, the Watch only really offers added value if I can use it independently of the iPhone. For the time alone, I can simply use my mobile phone.

Hello

I wrote to Salt a few months ago (again). As I always got the same answer ("we don't know anything"), I simply wrote to the COO and the CEO. And indeed, I got an answer.

According to the CEO of Salt Mobile SA, it is due to work on the "core system" which has to be completed first.

He goes on to say that the introduction is planned, but will not come until the end of 2022 at the earliest.

Greetings, RB

Apparently it will start in September 23. Let's be surprised whether it's really like that this time. In any case, it is already apparent in the Apple Watch app that "Salt is offering a special introductory mobile tariff for the Apple Watch..." but later in the process there is an error message telling you to try again in a few days. According to the call centre, it will be activated in September...

Salt is the most pathetic mobile provider! Sorry, but Salt hasn't managed to activate an eSIM for the AppleWatch since 2016. At that time, I had to switch to Swisscom because, as a long-time Salt customer, I couldn't integrate the eSIM. At that point they already said, sorry, unfortunately it's not possible "yet". Now 9 years have passed and they still can't do it!

Hello everyone, there may be hope.

1st: The Apple Watch is now listed in the Salt online shop: fiber.salt.ch/en/mobile/sma...

Why would they sell an Apple Watch if they don't offer an eSIM for it? The Apple Watch 7 with Cellular is shown.

2nd: In addition, you can currently find a subpage that is actually still hidden at: fiber.salt.ch/de/node/16981

The page is also shown on Google for certain search queries.

What do you think, is there something coming? It is about time!

Hi, Salt now offers an eSim for smartphones. However, you don't read anything about the Apple Watch. The best thing is to ask Salt directly.
