Does anyone have experience with the Garmin Fenix 7X and the Sapphire crystal? I want to use the watch for bouldering/climbing. My current watch (Fitbit Sense) has already suffered a lot (scratches and damaged edges on the case and glass). When bouldering, the watch inevitably comes into contact with the rough wall from time to time. Can the 7X withstand this?
As has already been said. The sapphire glass is very robust. I have never had a scratch. The lens is more sensitive... But for me it is a tool.... And may also have a few traces of my adventures...
The glass can cope with it quite well, but the bezel definitely cannot.
But the solution is simple: there are protectors that you can pull over the entire watch.
I don't think Digitec offers them, but you can find them on Google or at the "big A".
It won't win you any beauty prizes, but it's only for the duration of the session.
Oops, I meant to ask the question about the 7X, but I got the 7S. But the material is the same.
