Garmin NiMH
Garmin NiMH
Does anyone have a tip on how to remove the two batteries from the case? This is necessary in order to insert them into the GPS and, above all, to be able to charge them.
The two cells are standard NiMH AA batteries. The "band" simply pushes the button at the bottom of the battery compartment inwards, which causes the device to accept the batteries as a Garmin battery pack and charge them via USB. The same can be achieved for less money by forming a wedge out of aluminium foil and inserting it under normal NiMH batteries.
The battery pack (the batteries) are inserted into the device in exactly the same way (with this "strap") and then charged in the device (Oregon) by connecting it to the mains via the USB charging cable.
Leave the battery in the case and insert it into the Garmin device. Connect the Garmin to a USB
charger. This is how the batteries are charged.
