do you have to have a Samsung phone - or can it also be used on/with another Android device?

Found by google search on Samsung website:“ SmartTag is compatible with Samsung Android OS 8.0 and higher. Other Android devices and iOS devices are not supported. To use the “Find Using Camera” feature with SmartTag+, you will need a Galaxy Mobile device with Android 11 or higher and UWB support.“
