Do I understand correctly that the camera with a SIM card can send the pictures via 3G? Or how does that work? Does it just automatically send an email with the pictures/videos or can you download it via an app?

In principle, the transmission via 3G works ... but:

In the course of the modernisation 4G, 4G+, 5G, the 3G coverage is getting worse and worse, so that the function cannot be used reliably everywhere. Moreover: The SIM slot is indeed an extremely shaky affair ...

In the meantime, I have ordered the successor model with 4G / LTE support directly from the manufacturer in China, but I have not tested it yet.

The best thing is to use the free service of revierspion.de. They provide an app, which eliminates the need to send mail to your own mail account. How revierspion.de works: The camera sends photos via the mobile network (SIM) to the Revierspion server and they then appear in your own app. This works wonderfully once everything is set up. See here: https://www.revierspion.de/hilfe...

But: It took me a little while to set it up and until it really worked. I had to configure the camera (identically) several times before it suddenly worked (?!). Here you notice that it is a cheap camera. Everything is a bit wobbly, e.g. the SIM card slot. You're never quite sure if it really works. Or switching on the camera, etc. But with the very good instructions from Revierspion, it should work and the quality of the photos is OK.

Simply insert the SIM card and you will receive pictures via MMS or email.
