Do I understand correctly: 16 GB of memory is built in, and an additional 16 GB can be added, i.e. a maximum of 32 GB in total?

The memory is 16GB and not expandable in the device. But it's more than enough!

No, the memory cannot be expanded. However, there is a 64 GB version
