No, Digitec should enclose it free of charge. If it is missing, you can contact Digitec and they will send it to you free of charge.

Good question. I don't remember 100%. But I think it came with the clunky adapter. Incidentally, I needed the steamer again just last night: I wouldn't give it away again!
