Question about Devolo dLAN 1200+ WiFi ac extension
Do I need to add a starter kit to the Devolo dLan 1200+ WiFi ac or can this be used as a Wifi amplifier on its own ?

Why Wifi amplifier? This thing is not a! Wifi amplifier.
You need at least one DLAN remote station. Otherwise you could also use it as an access point, but it's too expensive just for that.

I have been replacing my Devolos, which are about 7 years old, with the current Devolo 1200 Starter Kit Devolo dLAN 1200+ WiFi ac, Starter Kit (1200Mbit/s) for a few days now and am absolutely satisfied.
The speed (in large EFH) has increased from 30 Mbps to 190 and 240 Mbps (both WiFi). I have added an additional Devolo dLAN 1200+ WiFi ac (1200Mbit/s) to the starter set.
So all together 3 devices. Installation was problem-free in just a few minutes.
