With Update 28, you can use the glasses without a cable via the PC. This was possible before but only via third-party software.
With Update 28, it is integrated into the glasses by default. Update 28 will be available sometime in April. The prerequisite for the function is a fast wireless connection, see the pages on the Internet. Vrnerd punkt de as an example.

Apart from the price, there is nothing to be said against the link cable; it is certainly the most stable option.

An Oculus Quest 2 link cable is required for this. The required software can be downloaded from the Oculus website.
