Do I need a controller with 7 fans or is it enough to use a splitter I have an Asus b550f gaiming wifi mainbord thanks for the answer
7 fans via splitters are already a lot. As the previous speaker said, however, a controller makes sense for a certain number.
However, you have 3x chassis fan connections. This means 2x2 and 1x3 fans per connection, which is usually possible with the AI software, since they are identical fans.
According to me, it would work with the splitter, but there could be problems in the Uefi or with fan recognition. Therefore, the controller would be a better choice.
