## Battery life and charging speed - The battery life and charging speed of the Apple Watch SE 2024 are also identical to the SE 2023, with an everyday battery life of up to 18 hours and a charging time of around 1.5 hours to 80%.
## Software and functions - Both models run on WatchOS and offer similar functions such as heart rate monitoring, sleep recording, pedometer and emergency call functions. There are no significant innovations in the software functions between the two models.
To summarise, the Apple Watch SE 2024 offers slight improvements in the hardware, but no significant innovations in the sensors or software compared to the Apple Watch SE 2023.
