Couldn't you "remove" the actual hard drive that's in it and put it in the PS4?

The maximum height for an HDD that can be installed in the PS4 is 9.5mm. Unfortunately, we do not know the height of the HDD in this enclosure, but we assume that the height of this HDD is higher than 9.5mm.
