Could the Digitec team please find out whether the Ninebot kickscooters can be transported free of charge on the SBB and receive an official statement from the SBB on this? I can't find an official statement on this.

Hi. I have the ES1 and asked at the SBB counter. The scooter has to be folded up, then you can take it with you free of charge.

Here is what I found online:

Tariffs 601 from SBB:

4.0.2.002 Hand luggage free of charge Lightly portable items as per T 600 that can be deposited without difficulty in the designated places as per T 600; e.g. Dismantled bicycle or similar riding device packed in carrier bags, unpacked children's trailer bicycle (slipstream bicycle) and bicycle of children under 6 years of age, small unpacked folding scooter such as kickboards as well as packed, folded unicycle, folding bicycle and trailer.

Tariffs 600 states:

27.3.000 Folded or dismantled bicycles, small trailers or other riding devices are considered to be easily portable items, provided they can be accommodated in accordance with 27.1. Carriage will be provided free of charge only if they are transported packed. Infant bicycles, small scooters and shopping trolleys (including those with a bicycle hitch) are carried free of charge in all cases.
